Revisit old memories or explore the memories of others with a visit to the original church building on 602 West Avenue, Red Wing. Hosted by Roger and Marjean Johnson, you'll see the place where the church met for years. Currently occupied by the Artist's Sanctuary, the building holds great memories for people like Roger, whose family lived in the church's parsonage while his father was the pastor for many years. We'll provide the snacks, tours, and stories. You bring the wonder, laughter, and maybe even a story of your own!

We'll continue celebrating God's faithfulness with Kara Stromberg, Superintendent of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Kara is the first female superintendent to be elected to this role in the Northwest Conference. She's a beloved leader and it's an honor to have her celebrate this milestone with us!

Tammy Swanson-Draheim serves as the first female president in the history of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She has held a variety of roles within the denomination for more than 23 years, and most recently has served as superintendent of the Midwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church since 2011. Tammy will be the capstone of our celebration of the 150th Anniversary of First Covenant Church in Red Wing, MN. Her visit with us will be timely, as the date of incorporation of the church was May 30, 1874. Come meet Tammy as she honors joins with us in honoring God's faithfulness through all generations!

About Us
First Covenant Church is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), which is a rapidly growing multi-ethnic denomination in the United States and Canada, with ministries on five continents of the world. Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God's grace, and an ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through faith with Jesus Christ. We value the importance of extending God's love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity. |
