SUNDAY NIGHTS IN THE YOUTH ROOM Starting Jan 10, junior high (grades 6-8) will meet from 6:00-7:00PM, and senior high (grades 9-12) from 7:15-8:15PM down in the youth room. Please enter using the youth room entrance around the side of the building. Our theme for the Spring semester will be Foundations. You always have to start somewhere. When you build a house, you start with the foundation. When you learn math, you start with the basics. From there, you can build elaborate structures or understand the most complex problems. The same is true in figuring out who we are and why we exist. During this series we will tackle some of the most basic questions about life and faith!
Confirmation
Confirmation has always been a lasting tradition to explore God’s word and the importance of living a Christian life. A major focus for a young teenager is learning to think for oneself and develop their own identity. Confirmation sits at the cusp of this stage of life. The end goal of confirmation is for students to dig deeper in God’s word and learn the biblical truths that impact the way we live. This then leads us to affirm our faith before the Body of Christ, then go and live by that faith.
We have a new confirmation program launching in the fall of 2020. This program is intended for students in grades 7 and 8, but with these changes we welcome students in older grades who have not yet been confirmed to participate as well. Check out the information below for more details on our confirmation program.
Our church has partnered with Youth Outreach to help sponsor and host a new program called "Community Distance Ed Assistance Program" (CDEAP). We encourage you to check out the CDEAP website for more information on how you can participate or volunteer!
Parents are the primary faith influencers for their kids. So we want to do what we can to equip you well for this important role! We have a Faith at Home podcast specifically for parents on various ideas, resources, interviews, and topics around helping instill a life of faith with your kids at home. Access the podcast on our webpage or through your favorite podcast app!
